# 2—Creating a Sub-Account and Adding a Member

## Objectives

- 1—Enable Custom Cloud Console.

## S3 Access Keys

The Custom Cloud Console requires S3 access keys to communicate and perform nearly all application actions.

The S3 keys are generated when a sub-account is created and are required for CCC. Once the sub-account is created, a panel confirms the creation with S3 access and secret keys. Either download the keys as a text file or copy the keys to the clipboard.

## Adding a Sub-Account Member or Onboarding an Existing Sub-Account

There are two types of Custom Cloud Console sub-accounts:

- **New sub-account:** You can [add Custom Cloud Console members to a new sub-account](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/adding-custom-cloud-console-members-to-a-sub-account).
- **Existing sub-account:** Because the Custom Cloud Console requires S3 keys that are generated when the sub-account is created in WACM, you must first [onboard an existing sub-account](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/onboarding-an-existing-sub-account-to-custom-cloud-console). Then, you can add Custom Cloud Console members.
