2 | Activate Wasabi Cloud NAS. |
3 | Configure Wasabi Cloud NAS. |
After you install and activate Wasabi Cloud NAS (WCN), you will be presented with The Configuration Wizard. The Configuration Wizard connects the WCN software to your WCN storage account and will automatically create a subfolder ("Wasabi Cloud NAS") in the Documents folder of your local machine. Additionally, it will pair the subfolder with a target bucket in your storage account.
When you configure WCN, you will establish an initial source-target pair, as described below. Once complete, you can add additional source-target pairs, as needed. To configure the WCN software, follow the steps below.
The Source Folder field will populate automatically. To select an existing source folder on your local machine, click Browse.
Click the drop-down list to select a Region. Based on your selection, the Wasabi Service URL will automatically populate.
Optionally, to change the default Bucket Name, enter a bucket name into the Bucket Name field.
Click Configure.
Review the Configuration Summary. Click Finish.
You will be presented with the WCN Configuration Interface. From this interface, you can:
Configure global settings
Add source and target pairs
Add policies
Configure automatic data management mechanisms (for all pairs or a specific pair)
View software service information
Continue to Pairing a Source With a Target.
Manually Activating the Software
Once you configure the Wasabi Cloud NAS (WCN) software, your software license will automatically activate and validate the software license, enabling you to create source-target pairs.
If activation fails to validate the license, you can perform manual activation. To do so, follow the steps below.
On the Configuration Interface, click Wasabi Cloud NAS.
Review the Wasabi Cloud NAS Service Information on the right pane. If the Last Update reports Success, the license has been successfully activated. If Last Update reports Failed status, check your connectivity to the internet and your firewall settings. Be sure that the firewall is not blocking the application from connecting to the wasabisys domain over port 443.
