How can I add a new source and target pair?
You can use a locally mounted NTFS/ReFS volume, an SMB/NFS network share, or just a folder on the volume/share as a source.
You cannot set a folder as a source if its parent folder is already paired with a target.
- Select Wasabi Cloud NAS in the left panel in the Wasabi Cloud NAS Client.
- Click Add Source.
- Select a folder or network drive you want to replicate to a target bucket in Wasabi Cloud. You can also create a new folder and use that as the source.
- Add the Wasabi target information:
— Provide a name for the target.
— Select the appropriate region. (This auto-populates the Server URL.)
— Enter the access and secret keys. (While using an existing target, you can select that to auto-populate the keys.)
— Click List Buckets and select from the listed bucket(s) to pair it with the newly added source.
Alternatively, click Create Bucket, select a region of your choice, and enter a bucket name. When done, click OK. - Click Apply to apply the changes.
- Bucket settings provide an option to enable Bucket Versioning or Compliance on the bucket, if required. When you enable Compliance on the bucket, Cloud NAS automatically sets the corresponding local folder/drive to WORM, which restricts edits and/or deletes actions in the local folder. Editing a file in the local folder creates and saves a new file, which gets replicated to the Wasabi Cloud as a new version.
- Click Apply when done.
- Be sure to click Resume. (Click WCN on the top left panel and Resume at the bottom.)
This completes the steps to configure a new source-target pair on Wasabi Cloud NAS.
