# Connecting With WDX Dedicated

WDX Dedicated is a L2 transport option that can be used with the following L3 routing methods for your direct connect circuit.

- NAT
- Public BGP
- Private BGP

For more information about using WDX Dedicated with NAT or BGP, refer to the configuration examples below.

## WDX Dedicated With NAT

The example below shows the following configuration specifications.

- L2—WDX Dedicated
- L3—NAT
- Wasabi storage region—US East 1

Be sure to note that:

- Wasabi will be configured to accept traffic from the /31 IP address assigned to your NAT interface.
- Configure your NAT interface as follows:
  - Forward all Wasabi traffic to the NAT Interface IP address.
  - The next hop is configured with the Wasabi /31 IP address.
  - You may need the specific IP information for your internal FW and/or router to correctly forward your Wasabi traffic to the intended destination (for example, 38.27.106.0/24).
- In this example, Wasabi advertises the 38.27.106.0/24 prefix in its BGP announcement for the storage service.

## WDX Dedicated With Public BGP

The example below shows the following configuration specifications.

- L2—WDX Dedicated
- L3—Public BGP
- Wasabi storage region—US East 2

Be sure to note that:

- Wasabi is configured to accept traffic from your public prefix advertisement.
- Configure your BGP interface to peer with the following prefix and Wasabi ASN.
- In this example, Wasabi advertises the 38.73.225.0/24 prefix in its BGP advertisement with ASN 395717.
- Additional BGP parameters can be configured by request (such as MD5, BDF Timers).

## WDX Dedicated With Private BGP

The example below shows the following configuration specifications.

- L2—WDX Dedicated
- L3—Private BGP
- Wasabi storage region—US West 1

Be sure to note that:

- When a private BGP prefix is required, Wasabi will reserve a 10.249.x.0/24 address space for that advertisement.
- You are required to configure that prefix in your BGP advertisement for Wasabi to accept.
- In this example, Wasabi advertises the 38.146.40.0/24 prefix in its BGP advertisement with ASN 395717. Wasabi will only accept traffic coming from the reserved 10.249.x.0/24 prefix advertised from your network to Wasabi.
- Additional BGP parameters can be configured by request (such as MD5, BDF Timers).
