# Configuring Data Management Options With Wasabi Cloud NAS

By pairing your on-premise source with a target (Wasabi bucket), WCN serves as a storage bridge and virtual storage unity that displays both your source and bucket data, as if all data were locally stored. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/bef0a1ea-7768-4d5a-b520-c4fe2f7fafad/Images/Documentation/image-1651768011940.png)

To distribute data between the source and target, you can apply one or more of the following data management mechanisms.

- [Automatic Data Replication](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/configuring-automatic-data-replication)—Copies a file from the source to the bucket.
- [Space Reclaiming](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/configuring-space-reclaiming)—Creates space on the source by replacing a replicated file with a nearline file.
- [Active Sync](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/configuring-active-sync)—Synchronizes the contents of multiple sources with a common bucket.
- [Soft Delete](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/configuring-soft-delete-policy)—Delays the deletion of a file on the bucket when the file on the source is deleted.
- [File Delete Mode](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/configuring-file-delete-mode)—Deletes a replica from the bucket when the file on the source volume is deleted.
