# Handy Backup With Wasabi

[Handy Backup](https://www.handybackup.net) fully supports Wasabi storage. For additional details, refer to [Wasabi Backup Software - Handy Backup](https://www.handybackup.net/wasabi-backup.shtml). To use Wasabi S3 as the backup destination, you can create a connection to it in the new task wizard.

> This configuration example discusses the use of Wasabi's us-east-1 storage region. To use other Wasabi storage regions, please use the appropriate Wasabi service URL as described in [Service URLs for Wasabi's Storage Regions](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/what-are-the-service-urls-for-wasabis-different-storage-regions).

## Requirements

Download and install the latest version of Handy Backup. For more information, refer to [Download Handy Backup](https://www.handybackup.net/download.shtml). (Note that it has a 30-day free trial period.)

1. Open Handy Backup.
2. Click the **New task** button on the control panel.

3. On Step 1 of the new task wizard, choose a backup task. Click **Next**.

4. Select your data to back up in Step 2. Proceed to the next step.
5. On Step 3, select the S3 Cloud plug-in and double-click on it. You will see the new window.

6. Double-click the **Create a connection** string.
7. In the connection dialog, enter the following parameters.
  - Server Name—s3.wasabisys.com (for us-east), s3.us-west-1.wasabisys.com (for us-west) or s3.eu-central-1.wasabisys.com (for eu-central)
  - Access key—Your Wasabi API access key
  - Secret key—Your Wasabi API secret key
8. Test your connection to ensure everything works smoothly. Click **OK** to continue.
9. Double-click the connection name string. Handy Backup will open your Wasabi cloud.
10. Click **OK** to continue.
11. Proceed with creating a task step by step as described in the User Manual for Handy Backup.

> You can use any options for Wasabi S3 backup without restrictions.
12. Give your task a distinctive name.
13. To complete the task setup, click **Finish**.
