# Panzura CloudFS With Wasabi

**Prerequisites for the filer**:

- A Wasabi storage [account](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/how-easy-is-it-to-get-started-with-wasabi)
- Bucket name
- Panzura CloudFS version 8.0.0.10 (Hardware appliance, VMware OVA, AWS/AMI, Azure/VHD or Google/GCE instance)
- Panzura license token or license files

The following instructions describe how to configure the Panzura CloudFS deployed in VMware environment to use the Wasabi cloud storage as the back-end object store for storing your data.

The configuration of the Panzura filer to use Wasabi cloud storage is done during the initial setup using the setup wizard or the main WebUI configuration page.

**Setup Wizard**

After powering on the Panzura VM, follow the steps below to configure the filer using the setup wizard:

1. Using a Chrome browser connect using the filer’s IP address
2. Login with the username admin and password admin
3. Accept the EULA and change the password
4. Configure network settings (gateway, subnet mask and DNS)
5. Enter license
6. Configure time setting (recommend connecting to a NTP server)
7. Configure filer roles settings (master, subordinate)
8. Allocate datastore for metadata and cache
9. On the Cloud Storage Provider page, select Wasabi S3 as the Cloud Provider and provide the required details -
  - Cloud Host IP/Name - Service URL of the Wasabi region
    - S3 Access Key
    - S3 Secret Key
    - Bucket
    - Path
    - Cloud Size
    - Cloud Size Unit

*Note: This config example discusses the use of Wasabi's us-east-1 storage region. To use other Wasabi storage regions, please use the appropriate Wasabi service URL as described in this*[*article*](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/what-are-the-service-urls-for-wasabis-different-storage-regions)

1. Select protocol (SMB/NFS/Both)
2. Configure the Active Directory Domain to join
3. Review the summary page and select Finish
