How do I use SimpleBackups with Wasabi?

SimpleBackups is an all-in-one website & database backup automation service built for the cloud. It offers extensive support for databases such as: MySQL, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and most cloud storage options to securely store backups on Wasabi. Wasabi has been validated for use with SimpleBackups.

Prerequisites

• A SimpleBackups account

• Connect your server to your account 

• An active Wasabi account

Follow steps outlined below to configure Wasabi as a cloud storage target. 

1. Log into SimpleBackups and head to the Connect a Storage page.

2. Pick "Wasabi" as storage provider. iIn the "Connect your storage" section, provide the following information

   • Key: Access Key 

   • Secret: Secret Key 

   • Region: 

   • Bucket: Bucket name 

   • Name - a name for your storage and click on "Save new storage".

Note: This config example discusses the use of Wasabi's us-west-1 storage region. To use other Wasabi storage regions, please use the appropriate Wasabi service URL as described in this article.

3. You'll be redirected to the list of storage where you'll find the newly connected storage.

4. To create your backups and store it on Wasabi, please follow the articles listed below

   • Mysql database and store it on Wasabi

   • PostgreSQL database and store it on Wasabi

   • MongoDB database and store it on Wasabi

   • Server files and store it on Wasabi
