# Managing Storage in WCSM

To manage your active storage objects in WCSM, you can disable or ignore the storage object. Disabling an inactive storage object prevents the UI from scanning the active storage, which may incur fees associated with API calls made to your hyperscaler. By ignoring a storage object, you can ensure that specific objects or file paths are neither scanned nor transferred by a job or policy.

## Enabling and Disabling a Storage Object

> Users cannot disable or delete a storage object once a migration is complete, as WCSM disables the Write capabilities for the storage object.

1. Click **Storage**.
2. Select a storage object.
