Reviewing File Details in Custom Cloud Console

You can review file details and then manipulate the file (rename, download, copy the path, or delete).

Accessing File Details

Select the file you want to view by clicking on the row. File details are displayed. 

Renaming a File

You can change the name of a file.

1. On the File Details panel, click the pencil to the right of the file name.

   

2. Enter a new name for the file.

   Avoid the use of the following special characters in a file name:

   % (percent)
   < (less than symbol)
   > (greater than symbol)
   \ (backslash) # (pound sign)
   ? (question mark)

   Non-ASCII, 4-byte UTF8 characters (such as emojis) are not supported and will return a 400 error message. Rename these files, if possible.

3. Click the checkmark to save the changes.

   

Downloading a File

You can link to a file at its Internet location.

On the File Details panel, click the link under the Link To File heading.

Copying the File Path

You can download a file to your local computer.

On the File Details panel, click the Download File button. The file is downloaded and ready to open, save, and so on.

Deleting a File

You can easily remove a file from a bucket.

1. On the File Details panel, click the Delete File button.
2. A message prompts you to confirm that you want to delete the file indicated in the message.

   Click Delete to delete this file.
