# Shareio With Wasabi

[Shareio](https://shareio.ai/) secures, shares, and monetizes any file directly from your Wasabi storage and turns content you already store into a revenue stream, protected by quantum-resistant encryption. This article documents the configuration required for Shareio to work with Wasabi.

> Be aware of and follow Wasabi's [Free Egress Policy](https://wasabi.com/paygo-pricing-faq/#free-egress-policy) when storing and streaming files. Files are streamed directly from Wasabi and this counts toward the Free Egress Policy.

## Requirements

- Active [Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage account](https://wasabi.com/try-free)
- A Wasabi bucket (see [Creating a Bucket](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/working-with-buckets-and-objects#creating-a-bucket)
- [Wasabi Console](https://console.wasabisys.com/) access
- [Shareio App](https://shareio.ai/shareio.html) access

## Configuration

1. Log in to the [Shareio App](https://shareio.ai/shareio.html).
2. On Shareio's Encrypt screen, add your file by clicking **Browse Files**. It is encrypted locally (zero-knowledge AES-256) into a .shr payload. (The file will be uploaded to Wasabi in Step 14 below.)

3. Select **Other / manual (just download)** from the drop-down menu.
4. Click **Continue to save**.

5. On the Links screen, set the Storage Provider as **Wasabi**.
6. Click the console button to open [https://console.wasabisys.com.](https://console.wasabisys.com.)

7. Log in to the Wasabi Console.
8. Select a bucket that will be used for sharing this file. Click **Buckets**.
9. Select the name of your bucket.

10. Click the **Settings** gearwheel.

11. Click **Permissions**.
12. Click **Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS)**.

13. Click **Edit**.

14. Paste Shareio's exact JSON shown below.

15. Click **Save**.

16. Click **Save** in the popup window.

17. Select the name of your bucket (as shown below to go to the bucket’s contents).

18. Upload the encrypted .SHR file from your device or drive into the bucket by clicking **Upload Files**.

20. Create a pre-signed link that expires within a configurable period of time (maximum 7 days). Click **Share with Presigned URL**.

> Ensure that the Shareio expiry is also set to seven days or less in Step 26 below.

> The file will be accessible by anyone with the link. The file is protected by Shareio’s encryption, not by limiting access to the file.
21. Enter the number of hours and minutes you want the link to be active (7 days or 168 hours maximum). Click **Create Presigned URL**.

22. Click the copy icon to copy the link.
23. Click **Close**.

24. Go back to the [Shareio App](https://shareio.ai/shareio.html).
25. Ensure **Wasabi** is selected from the drop-down menu. Paste the previously copied link into the Wasabi Object URL field.
26. Configure price, expiry / view-count limit, watermark and any other DRM options for the link.
27. Click Shareio's **Save** button.

28. Copy and share the link by clicking the copy icon.
29. Click **I HAVE COPIED THE LINK**.

30. Watch the CORS status pill — it should turn green.

31. Share the copied link with buyers. Buyers of your content will now stream the file from your Wasabi bucket.
