# Objects, Folders, and Files

## Storing Objects in a Bucket

You can store objects in a bucket in Wasabi. An object can be any type of file—text, photo, video, and so on. See [Step 2 in *Getting Started: Working with a Bucket*.](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/working-with-buckets-and-objects#working-with-a-bucket)

## Folders and Files

For most information about folders and files, see [Step 2 in *Getting Started: Working with Folders and Files*](https://docs.wasabi.com/v1/docs/working-with-folders-and-files). In addition, details are provided in separate articles for:

- [Object tags](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/object-tags) [](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/bucket-access)
- [Public and private access](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/bucket-access)

## Object Lock

Object lock can help prevent objects from being deleted or overwritten for a fixed amount of time or indefinitely. The Object Lock feature at an object level is closely related to bucket management. As such, this feature is described in [Bucket Settings: Object Lock](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/object-locking-enable).
