# Undeleting Data on the Source in WCN

The Undelete feature enables you to recover a deleted file to the source when File Delete mode is enabled. When you undelete a file, the file will appear as nearline on the source. You can manually retrieve the nearline file either through WCN or on-demand by attempting to open it.

> To use the undelete feature, versioning must be enabled.

> To undelete a file from a NAS source, you must perform the operation in the shadow copy folder.

1. In Windows Explorer, right-click the folder containing the file to undelete.
2. Hover over **Wasabi Cloud NAS**.
3. Select**Undelete**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/bef0a1ea-7768-4d5a-b520-c4fe2f7fafad/Images/Documentation/updated manual data ops.png)

WCN undeletes all deleted files in the selected folder as long as they have a version of the file on the bucket.

> The Undelete option is disabled once the files have been restored or undeleted.
