# Scality ARTESCA With Wasabi

Wasabi has been validated for use with [Scality](https://www.scality.com/) ARTESCA. [Scality ARTESCA](https://www.scality.com/artesca/) is simple, secure, lightweight object storage that enables efficient scaling from a single physical server or virtual machine to 8.5 petabytes of usable capacity.

## Requirements

- ARTESCA v 1.7.2 and higher
- An active Wasabi account
  - Wasabi Bucket (see our [Bucket Creation Guide](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/working-with-buckets-and-objects))

Versioning needs to be enabled on the bucket
  - Access and Secret Key Pair (see our [Access Keys Guide](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/creating-a-user-account-and-access-key))

## Configuring Scality ARTESCA

1. Log in to the **ARTESCA** UI.

2. Navigate to **Data Management**, then **Locations**.

3. Click **+ Create Location**.

4. Under Location type, select **Wasabi** from the drop-down menu.

5. Provide the Wasabi bucket details and click **Create**.

  - Wasabi Access Key
  - Wasabi Secret Key
  - Wasabi Target Bucket Name

The Wasabi location created above will be listed under the Locations.

## Creating a Replication Workflow

Wasabi can be used as a target destination for a replication workflow. Replication operates at the bucket level, replicating data stored in an ARTESCA bucket to a Wasabi bucket.

> [!NOTE]
> To create a replication workflow, you need to have a bucket created on ARTESCA with versioning enabled.

1. Navigate to Data Management, then Workflows. Click **+ Create Workflow**.

2. Select the Rule Type as **Replication**.

3. Select the Source **ARTESCA** bucket and the Destination **Wasabi bucket**. Click **Create**.

The replication workflow is ready and active.

All the data was uploaded to the Scality bucket. test1 will be replicated to the Wasabi bucket, artesca-2, per the Replication workflow.
