# Vivotek VAST Security Station With WSC

[VIVOTEK’s VAST Security Station (VSS)](https://www.vivotek.com/vast-security-station) is validated for use with WSC. VSS is an easy-to-use, all-around, AI-powered IP video surveillance software designed to help you manage tens of thousands of cameras and focus on only what matters to you, through VIVOTEK AI solutions.

## Requirements

- VSS Software (Lite, Standard, or Pro)
- [Wasabi Surveillance Cloud storage account](https://billing-service.wasabisys.com/CommunitiesSelfReg?pid=WSC)
- [Wasabi bucket](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/working-with-buckets-and-objects#creating-a-bucket)
- [Access and secret keys](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/creating-a-user-account-and-access-key)

## Configuring VAST Security Station

1. Follow the instructions in [1—Installing Wasabi Surveillance Cloud](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/1-downloading-and-installing-wasabi-surveillance-cloud) to install WSC on the local server. Be sure to select **VIVOTEK - VAST Security Station (VSS)**. Once the VSS profile is selected, it cannot be changed.

2. Install the WSC software on each server in case multiple recording servers are deployed. The same WSC credentials can be used across all servers.
3. Open the WSC software.
4. Follow the steps in [Pairing a VMS with a Target](https://docs.wasabi.com/docs/pairing-a-vms-with-a-target) to add a source and target. Be sure to set:
  - Source path—Select the same drive/folder shown in VSS. If more than one volume has been configured in VSS, add each folder (source) separately. Do not add subfolders whose parent folder has been added as a source.
  - Targets—Select **Wasabi** to autofill the Access and Secret keys. Optionally, enter the keys manually.
5. To confirm that data is being written to the bucket with the same directory structure as the source folder, log in to the [Wasabi Console](https://console.wasabisys.com/#/login) to verify.

A logical software container in which to store objects. Wasabi stores objects (folders and files) in buckets. Once you create a storage bucket, you can upload objects into the bucket. You can create up to 1000 buckets per account.
