    Article summary

Once your WACM account is provisioned, your Wasabi Console Account becomes what is commonly referred to as a 'Control Account'. This is the same term used to describe your WACM 'Control Account', and for a good reason. Your Wasabi Console Control Account is the core of your WACM Control Account, making it the most important piece of your Wasabi implementation as a WACM user.

Think of your Wasabi Account Control Manager Account as an extension of your Wasabi Console Account. One cannot exist without the other.

Your Wasabi Console Control Account allows you to:

    • Receive notifications about trial account conversion, trial expiration, etc.

    • Create, modify, and delete sub-accounts in WACM

    • View sub-invoices in WACM

    • Manage invoices at the Control Account level

    • Store data at the Control Account level

    Terminating Your WACM Account

The Wasabi’s Account Control Manager allows you to consolidate your end-customer Wasabi storage accounts. If after using the Wasabi Account Control Manager you decide the platform does not suit your business model, consider the following options:

    • Option 1—Retain the Wasabi Control API account only

    • Option 2—Terminate the Wasabi Account Control Manager account and the Wasabi Account Control API account

    • Option 3—Trial a Wasabi Account Control Manager account

Option 1—Retain the Wasabi Account Control API only. If you are a new customer using both the Wasabi Account Control API and the Wasabi Account Control Manager and would like to terminate the Wasabi Account Control Manager and retain the Wasabi Account Control API capability only:

    • You can remove the Wasabi Account Control Manager from your integration.

    • There is no need to delete any of the sub-accounts or delete any of the storage within those sub-accounts that were created using the Wasabi Account Control Manager.

    • All sub-accounts and storage within the sub-accounts remain unaffected when you terminate your Wasabi Account Control Manager account.

    • A replacement platform or application is required to manage the sub-accounts in the future.

Option 2—Terminate both the Wasabi Account Control Manager and the Wasabi Account Control API accounts. If you would like to terminate both the Wasabi Account Control Manager and the Wasabi Account Control API:

    • You must delete all storage in each sub-account and then delete the sub-accounts. Once the sub-accounts are deleted, none of the stored data is recoverable.

    • Wasabi does not charge for storage while sub-accounts are in the trial period, however, charges will accrue if the sub-accounts are not in the trial period.

Option 3—Trial a Wasabi Account Control Manager account. If you are an existing Wasabi Account Control API customer and would like to try the Wasabi Account Control Manager:

    • All sub-accounts created previously can be imported into the Wasabi Account Control Manager.

    • After using the Wasabi Account Control Manager, if you decide it does not suit your business needs, you can convert back to your previous integration without affecting your sub-accounts or storage within those sub-accounts.

    • The Account Management keys associated with the Wasabi Account Control Manager will be disabled and the Wasabi Account Control Manager account will be decommissioned, for security purposes. New keys will be generated for continued use of your Wasabi Account Control API.

Re-enabling a Temporarily Disabled WACM Account
