Configuring Event Viewer Logs

When event viewer logs are generated, you can view the log outputs from the Windows Event Viewer. By configuring event viewer logs, you can trigger event notifications for the following actions:

  • Replicate file

  • Reclaim space

  • Retrieve file

When any of these events occur, there are three log types that report the event:

  • Information Log

  • Warning Log

  • Error Log

To configure event viewer logs:

  1. Click Global Settings.  

  2. Click the checkbox to select the job for which to generate logs.  

  3. Click Apply All.

  4. A prompt will notify you that WSC is required to reboot. Click Yes to reboot.

  5. Once the system reboots, a prompt will notify you that WSC operations are now paused. Click OK.

  6. Click Wasabi Surveillance Cloud.

  7. Click Resume.

  8. Once logs are generated, you can view the outputs in the Windows Event Viewer.
