    Version 3.0.0.21 - November 19, 2024

    Enhancements

    • Create persistent database at Source — The Wasabi Cloud NAS (WCN) client software has implemented an important feature that prevents the software from scanning all files or folders on the source upon restarting the WCN client. An internal database is established to store the metadata of all replicated objects. When the WCN client is restarted, this database is referenced instead of scanning each object, enhancing performance and facilitating a quicker return to the operational state before the software restart.

    Changes

    • Ability to select the newly added London 2 Data Center (generally available on November 20, 2024) region from the WCN Client software.
    • Performance improvements — The WCN client software has been updated to address a performance-related issue causing high CPU and memory usage. This update incorporates a registry setting modified by the new client's installation, designed to enhance the performance of replication jobs, particularly when the source contains a substantial amount of data.
    • The labels previously used in the WCN shell extension, specifically "Synchronize with the bucket" and "Synchronize recursively," have been revised to improve clarity and prevent potential confusion about their intended operations. The new labels, "Import from Bucket" and "Import recursively from Bucket," provide a clearer indication of the action being performed. This change aims to enhance user understanding and ensure users can easily identify the specific functions related to importing data from the bucket.
