How do I use Fastly CDN with Wasabi?
Fastly CDN (Content Delivery Network) helps you to cache your data and thereby can considerably reduce latency to access web-content. The Fastly - Wasabi joint solution is described here. To perform Fastly CDN operations on your Wasabi bucket you have to follow the instructions provided here and change the parameters as mentioned below.
Note that this example discusses the use of Wasabi's us-east-1 storage region. To use other Wasabi storage regions, please use the appropriate Wasabi service URL as described in this article.
Pointing to the Wasabi service:
If you already have a domain name configured, type in the domain name. Otherwise you can use the following format for the domain name:
.global.ssl.fastly.net
Replace with a name that you want.
While creating service type "s3.wasabisys.com" in
Address field
Transport Layer Security (TLS) -> Certificate hostname field
Once you complete all the instructions you can test it by typing your domain in the web browser
Note that by default, Wasabi trial accounts do not allow 'public' access to objects (see this article) You can either request a change to this setting for your trial account from Wasabi Support or can use this script provided by Fastly.
