For customers using Wasabi's Pay as You Go (Pay-Go) pricing model, Wasabi has a minimum monthly charge for active storage. If you store less than the active storage in your account, you will still be charged for storage based on the pricing associated with the storage region you are using. Contact your Wasabi Sales representative or a Wasabi Customer Support representative for details.
The policy also means that if you have zero storage in your account, you will still incur the monthly minimum charge. This policy is comparable to cell phone plans with monthly service charges (even if you do not make any calls, there is still a monthly service charge from the cell phone plan provider). If you do not have any storage in your Wasabi account and want to avoid monthly minimum storage charges, you should delete your Wasabi account.
It is not possible to “pause” your Wasabi account for any period of non-use.
Control Account Versus Standalone Account Accrual of Minimum Storage Charges
For standalone accounts, Minimum Active Storage and Timed Active Storage charges may apply. Control accounts (users of WACM or WACA) with one or more sub-accounts may notice that their Minimum Active Storage charge can exceed these charges. This is because sub-accounts also qualify for the Minimum Active Storage charge if they store less than define amount.
