Does the Wasabi Surveillance Cloud client support bandwidth control?
Controlling bandwidth through the Wasabi Surveillance Cloud Client is not available. However, the bandwidth can be controlled using the registry settings. To do so, follow the steps below.
Access HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wasabi\tiger-bridge\tiersvc\settings location from the registry.
Locate “replicate_bw_limit” and “replicate_bw_time_slice” keys. Use the “replicate_bw_limit” key to control the amount of data in bytes, and the “replicate_bw_time_slice” key will control the slice of the time in milliseconds.
For example, if to set a target throttle at 300 Mbps, set the “replicate_bw_limit” key to 75000000 bytes, and “replicate_bw_time_slice” =2000 ms (default)
NOTE:
Restart “tiersvc.exe” after any change in the registry settings associated with the Wasabi Surveillance Cloud client.
This approach relies on approximations. Individuals should conduct tests with various values to obtain an accurate result. You may need to reduce the value of the “replicate_bw_limit” number by half to achieve the desired speed. Adjust the bandwidth if more cameras are added.
