How do I use CrashPlan SaaS Data Protection, Cyber-Resiliency & E-Discovery/Search with Wasabi?
CrashPlan provides Software as a Service (SaaS) Data Protection, Cyber-Resiliency & E-Discovery/Search with Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage. Wasabi serves as a target for CrashPlan backups of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Endpoints, Servers, and other SaaS workloads.
Prerequisites
Active Wasabi Cloud Storage account.
A Wasabi non-Object-Locked (non-immutable) bucket created. See Creating a Bucket for details.
Wasabi access and secret keys. See 3—Creating a User Account and Access Key for details. It is recommended to create a new user account and use their access/secret keys.
Active CrashPlan account with login credentials.
Configuring CrashPlan
Login to the CrashPlan portal.
Click on Settings.
Click on Destination Storage Credentials.
Select Wasabi Storage.
Enter the following information:
a. Your Wasabi access key as the Identity
b. Your Wasabi secret key as the Access Key
c. The Wasabi URL that represents the region your bucket is in as the Endpoint URL.In the following example, the Wasabi us-central-1 URL was used. Please refer to Service URLs for Wasabi's Storage Regions for the correct URL for the region your bucket is located in.
d. Your bucket name as the Container Name
e. Click Save.Click Finish.
