The Object Replication feature enables you to copy objects from an active storage bucket (source) to one or more different buckets (destination(s)). This lets you duplicate your objects and protect against problems such as malicious activities, natural disasters, and user errors.
When you are creating a bucket, you can indicate that you want to configure a replication job immediately after the bucket is created.
Creating a Bucket and Then Configuring a Replication Job
By default, the option to set the object replication feature is suspended (not enabled). To enable replication:
Complete the Bucket Name section for creating a new bucket by entering a bucket name and selecting a region for storage. Click Next.
In the Properties section, set Bucket Versioning and Object Lock, if appropriate. Click Next.

Enter a name for the replication job.
Select the destination bucket. When you click in the Destination Bucket area, you are prompted with a list of buckets that match the criteria for a destination(the same versioning status and regions grouping as the source).
Indicate which objects added to the bucket you want to replicate.
All objects—All objects in the bucket are replicated.
Subset of objects—Only specific objects are replicated based on additional information that you provide. Identify these objects by a prefix and/or tag(s):
Optionally, select Sync deleted objects if objects deleted in the source bucket should also be deleted in the destination bucket.
Click Next.
Optionally, set Logging and Tags. Or, click Next until you reach the Review panel.
The bucket settings and properties are displayed for your review. You can click Back to change any information. Otherwise, click Create Bucket to accept the information and create the bucket.
A message displayed at the top of your screen indicates that the bucket was created successfully.
Configuring a Replication Job for an Existing Bucket
You can configure a replication job after the bucket is created. To do so, refer to Bucket Settings: Object Replication and Creating a Replication Job for more information about bucket settings and replication.
