The following instructions apply to onboarding an existing sub-account. To add members to a newly created sub-account, refer to Adding Custom Cloud Console Members to a Sub-Account.
The Custom Cloud Console requires S3 keys that are generated at sub-account creation in WACM. Since existing sub-accounts were created previously, your sub-accounts will be required to enter valid Root access keys or reset the Root access keys for the existing account. There are a few options:
- Enter Root access keys by sub-account
- Reset and generate new Root access keys by sub-account
- Reset Root access keys by control account
Entering Root Access Keys by Sub-Account
As a sub-account:
- Sign in to the Custom Cloud Console.
- Enter the Access Key and Secret Key.
- Click Save.
Resetting and Generating New Root Access Keys by Sub-Account
By performing a Root access key reset, all current existing Root access keys will be deleted and replaced with a single new Root access key.
As a sub-account:
- Log in to the Custom Cloud Console.
- Click view other option at the bottom of the window.
- Click Reset to re-generate a new Root access key.
- Confirm that you understand any existing Root access keys will be deleted and replaced with a single Root access key.
Resetting Root Access Keys by Control Account
By performing a Root access key reset, all current existing Root access keys will be deleted and replaced with a single new Root access key.
- Log in to Wasabi Account Control Manager (WACM).
- Select the sub-account you want to onboard to your Custom Cloud Console.
The sub-account Usage page is displayed.
- Click the Account tab.
- In the Sub-Account section at the bottom of the page, select the Manage Sub-Account drop-down. Then, select Reset Access Key.
- Click Reset to complete resetting the Root access keys.
Once the keys are reset, the sub-account is ready to use your Custom Cloud Console. Follow the steps for adding Custom Cloud Console members to a sub-account.
