Digital Watchdog DW Spectrum VMS With Wasabi

DW Spectrum, an open-platform video management solution, is validated for use with the Wasabi Surveillance Cloud (WSC). 

Getting Ready

To use DW Spectrum with Wasabi Surveillance Cloud, review the following requirements. 

• DW Spectrum VMS. 
• Active Wasabi Surveillance Cloud storage account.
• Wasabi Surveillance Cloud software. For more information, refer to 1—Downloading and Installing Wasabi Surveillance Cloud. 
• Wasabi Bucket. For more information, review Creating a Bucket.
• Access & Secret Key Pair. For more information, review 3—Creating a User Account and Access Key.

Configuring WSC for Use With DW Spectrum

1. Open the Wasabi Surveillance Cloud software application.
2. Click Global Settings. 
3. Click the VMS Profile drop-down. 
4. Select Digital Watchdog - Spectrum.

   

5. Follow the steps in Pairing a VMS With a Target  to add a source and target. Be sure to set:
   • Source path: Select the drive or folder containing the DW video recordings. This will be the replicated source. 
   • Targets: Select "Wasabi" to auto-fill the Access key and Secret key. Optionally, manually enter the keys. 
   • Once complete, the WSC software will begin replicating all data in the source folder to the Wasabi bucket. 
6. To confirm that data is being written to the bucket with the same directory structure (as seen on the local storage), log in to the Wasabi Console.
