FTP Support
The following modes of FTP are supported:
- FTP (unsecure) passive mode only
- FTP over TLS Explicit
- FTP over TLS Implicit
The service URL for Wasabi FTP usage is the same as it is for S3 API usage (refer to the Wasabi Knowledge Base for service URLs for different regions). The username and password used for FTP access are the same username and password used to access the Wasabi Management Console.
FTP over SSL and SFTP (FTP over SSH) are NOT supported.
FTP login will fail if the account is activated with MFA.
FTP login will fail if the account is activated with MFA.
FTP uploads cannot be used with the Object Replication feature.
Enabling FTP/FTPS
- Click Settings on the Wasabi menu. Or, open the account sign-in drop-down and click Settings.
- Open the FTP/FTPS drop-down.
- To enable FTP/FTPS, slide the toggle to
- A message indicates that FTP/FTPS does not comply with normal IAM policies, which could be a potential security risk. If you want to continue to enable FTP/FTPS, enter agree in the message area:
- Click Toggle.
The user name and password for FTP/FTPS usage is the same as the user name and password for the Root account.
