Credit Card Payment Failures
If you need to change your credit card to resolve a payment problem, you can do this in the Payment Settings of the Billing portal. Once you make the change to your credit card information, you can either wait for the system to automatically retry within 24 hours, or you can use the PAY NOW button in the Billing Overview to force an immediate payment attempt for an outstanding invoice.
If an attempt to charge your credit card for Wasabi service fails (for any reason, including insufficient funds, bank declines, card expiration, and so on), Wasabi automatically tries to charge your credit card again 24 hours after the first failure. If the second charge attempt fails, a third and final automatic charge attempt will be made 24 hours after the second failure. If the third and final charge attempt fails, your account is subject to suspension and deletion in accordance with Section 7.2.b of the Wasabi Customer Agreement.
If you cannot resolve any payment problems in accordance with this timeline, contact Wasabi Support as soon as possible before the automatic system delete action is taken on your account and files. If your account is deleted for non-payment, it is not possible to recover the account or any associated files.
If you resolve a credit card problem after three successive failures and you want to restart the authorizations, simply re-enter the SAME credit card information and submit it. The system will start the three-attempt sequence again.
Pending Credit Card Expiration
Ten (10) days prior to credit card expiration, Wasabi will send an email to you indicating the pending credit card expiration. If the credit card expires but the invoice is not yet due, you will also receive an email from Wasabi informing you of the pending credit card expiration. If Wasabi attempts to collect payment on an expired credit card, the notification process proceeds as described in Credit Card Payment Failure above.
Countries in Which Wasabi Accepts Credit Cards
Wasabi charges in United States dollars ($USD) regardless of where our subscribers are based. Wasabi can process credit card payments from subscribers throughout the world using any valid credit card (regardless of where the credit card holder resides or where the credit card issuing bank is located).
Non-US Bank Credit Card Payment Failures
Wasabi has observed some credit card payment failures when non-US banks issue credit cards. This payment failure is typically due to a limitation put in place by the issuing bank and not because of a Wasabi limitation. If you experience this type of failure as part of a Wasabi payment process attempt, we recommend you contact the bank that issued the credit card (before contacting Wasabi). The issuing bank typically can resolve the problem for you.

Prepaid or Virtual Credit Cards
Wasabi does not accept prepaid or virtual credit cards due to problems with fraud. We request that customers who previously used a prepaid credit card begin to use a non-prepaid credit card.
Cards From Bunq
Cards from Bunq do not work with the Wasabi credit card processor. If you attempt to use a Bunq card, you may see an error message indicating your card could not be processed.
Wasabi recommends using a non-prepaid, non-virtual credit card.
