FTPS Support

FTPS (over TLS only) is supported. FTPS does not comply with normal IAM policies, so this could be a potential security risk.

The service URL for Wasabi FTP usage is the same as it is for S3 API usage (refer to the Wasabi Knowledge Base for service URLs for different regions). The username and password used for FTPS access are the same as the Root username and password used to access the Wasabi Management Console.

FTPS uploads cannot be used with the Object Replication feature.

Enabling FTPS

  1. Click Settings on the Wasabi menu. Or, open the account sign-in drop-down and click Settings.
  2. Select FTPS.

  3. Click the toggle to enable FTPS:
  4. A message indicates that FTPS does not comply with normal policies, which could be a potential security risk. If you want to continue to enable FTPS, enter agree in the message area:
  5. Click Toggle.

Disabling FTPS

  1. Click Settings on the Wasabi menu. Or, open the account sign-in drop-down and click Settings.
