Objectives for Getting Started
Getting Started With Wasabi Account Control Manager (WACM) provides a quick overview of basic WACM features with step-by-step procedures for new and prospective users. It describes how to sign up for a WACM account, create accounts, and create users and roles. Objectives for Getting Started are:
1—Sign up for WACM and sign in.
2—Create a user and assign a role.
3—Create a sub-account trial.
4—Access and export consumption data.
Trial Accounts
Trial accounts are created for 30, 60, or 90 days. The allowed WACM user can change the trial period.
When the trial expires, the trial account automatically converts to a paid account.
It is recommended that the WACM user delete a trial account before it expires if the data stored during the trial phase will be used once the account is paid.
There is no way to avoid this automatic conversion except by extending the trial up to 90 days or by deleting the sub-account.
Paid Accounts
It is important to always keep the sub-account status in mind. This could lead to unexpected costs. If you intend to delete the sub-account, do not leave it as Suspended (see Suspending a Sub-Account). Make sure all data is deleted from the account in the Wasabi Console, then delete it in WACM.
Security
It is recommended that the Password Reset Required option be selected to require the account holder to reset their password upon initial login. (Refer to Resetting a User Password.)
Email Alerts
Emails containing alerts or warnings will be sent to the Admin account that receives email (the first Admin account created).
Suppose it is desired that sub-accounts manage their own password resets. In that case, enter a valid email address when prompted during sub-account setup and select the "Send password reset to Sub-Account" email option (see Creating a Sub-Account in the Trail Phase).
Accessing Support and Online Help
While using the WACM, you can access Wasabi Academy user documentation, the Wasabi Console, system status, and Wasabi Support by clicking the question mark in the navigation bar.
